SIPO Service Projects
Women's Opprtunity Award - A scholarship program for women who are heads of household and who are enrolled in a college degree proram, with the goal of improving their lives and the lives of their children.
Violet Richard Award - A cash award program for girls aged 14-17 involved in comunity service.
Professional Technical Award - A cash award program for women enrolled in nontraditional educational programs that lead to a certificate or license.
Fellowship Award - A cash award program for women who have a achieved a BA degree and wish to continue on with a higher education to attain a Master's Degree or above.
Mary Ann Huntington's Children's Park - Provided the funding for the playground equipment and picnic shelter at the downtownat the Marina Park.
YWCA and the Alive Shelter - Provide on-going support for the YWCA and Alive Shelter in a variety of ways, (i.e., provide clothing to help women in need, provided a washer and dryer, provided low sudsing washing machine soap , smooth move boxes, pillows, and phone cards).
American Cancer Society - Contributes to the South Kitsap's Relay for Life.
Transitional Housing Project - Provide furniture and household goods for transitional housing for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
South Kitsap Helpline Foodbank - Ongoing donations food, school supplies, etc. for their programs.
Port Orchard Cares Project - A joint project with the Port Orchard Rotary whereb we provide Holiday Gift Baskets and food for at least 35 families each year.
Literacy Council - Contributes to the Literacy Council.
SKHS "Girls State" - Provide scholarships to SKHS to send young women to Girls State Leadership Conference.
South Kitsap Puget Sound Boys & Girls Club - Provide financial spport for the "Smart Girls" program.
Easter Egg Hunt in the Park - Contribute candy and stuffed animals for the annual event.
Senior Assistance - help single senior women with necessary financial assistance.
The Knittin' Tree - provide knitted items for the tree, which is located at Kitsap Bank. The items get disbursed to many different organizations Christmas week.
Girls Scouts Beyond Bars - Participated in a project to help young girls whose mothers were imprisoned at Purdy Correctional Facility.
Soroptimist International of the Americas - Provided disaster relief funding.
Community Service Grants - Provide grant money for non-profit organizations for the betterment of women and girls.
Fathoms O'Fun Royalty Tea - An event that has been sponsored by SIPO for over 30 years, which showcases the current Royalty as well as the incoming contestants.
Port Orchard Party - In 2010 the SI Port Orchard Foundation became a co-beneficiary of this annual event. SIPO also provides for the coat check service. This event raises money for non-profits.
Health Fair - Proejct participant, Heart Health/Cancer/Women's Health.
Domestic Violence Summit (Kitsap County) - Project participant each year.
Gig Harbor Criminal Justice Summit - Project participant in 2010
National Night Out - Participated as a vendor giving out free popcorn while emphasizing "Stop Human Trafficking" as the 2010 President's focus.
Harrison Hospital SANE Project - In 2010, SIPO raised funds in the amount of $6,900 for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) project at Harrison Hospital. This is a non-budgeted program and no fee is charged for women who have been sexually abused and seek help.
Project Independence - Women survivors of War, an international project providing education, training and micoeconomic lending to women in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Rwanda.

Soroptimist Day of Service - International day of service held on the Saturday closest to International Women's Day.
